Bay Area Muslim Women's Giving Circle
The Muslim Women’s Giving Circle (MWGC) is comprised of a group of Muslim women, active in their community, pooling their resources to invest in and stimulate philanthropic giving by women to benefit the Muslim community in the San Francisco Bay Area. MWGC encourages women to invest in the social fabric that holds their community together.
Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR)
Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is a grassroots civil rights and advocacy group. CAIR is America's largest Islamic civil liberties group, with regional offices nationwide and an active office in the Bay Area.
Give Light
GiveLight Foundation provides care and support for orphans in countries affected by national disasters, poverty or social unrest. They have established orphanages in Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and are sponsoring many more orphan children in other countries and locally in the Bay Area.
Islamic Networks Group (ING)
ING's mission is to counter prejudice and discrimination against American Muslims by teaching about their traditions and contributions in the context of America’s history and cultural diversity. While building bridges, they emphasize the importance of countering all forms of bigotry while working within the framework of the First Amendment's protection of religious freedom and pluralism.
Islamic Scholarship Fund
Islamic Scholarship Fund (ISF) provides academic scholarships to Muslim students in the United States who pursue college and post graduate degrees in humanities, social sciences, liberal arts and law.
North American Islamic Shelter For The Abused (NISA)
The North American Islamic Shelter for Abused (NISA), was established in 2002 in the Bay Area as a vehicle towards alleviating issues related to abuse and domestic violence.
Rahima Foundation
Rahima Foundation serves the financial, educational, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the communities through monthly food distribution, Zakat and Fitra and meat distribution, scholarships and tuition assistance and referrals for counseling and employment.
Taleef Collective
Ta’leef Collective provides the space, content and companionship necessary for a healthy understanding, embrace and realization of Islam. Taleef serves those actively interested in Islam and converts to the faith, assisting them in realizing a sustainable conversion to and practice of Islam, and gradual integration into the greater Muslim community and to reengage disenfranchised and often marginalized Muslim young adults.
Zaytuna College
Zaytuna College, the first of its kind liberal arts college, aims to educate and prepare morally professional, intellectual and spiritual leaders, who are grounded in the Islamic scholarly tradition conversant with the cultural currents and critical ideas shaping modern society.
